Next we visited the Cleveland dam which supplies about 40% of Vancouver's fresh drinking water.
With a week of very hot weather melting the snow
followed by a week of rain the resevoir was completely full and spilling over the spillway.


The top of the dam is a beautiful spot.



Val actually managed to get close enough to the edge to lean on the rail.
Being afraid of heights this must have been pretty hard for her because the water behind her was rushing down another 100 feet to the river below.

But she wasn't finished surprising us yet.

Our next stop was to be the lower end of the Gondola ride and we were not expecting to go any higher for obvious reasons.
